Here’s an advertisement that offers both real estate sales or listing services and also great rates on purchase loan mortgages.

This Broker advertises all of these services out of her American United Mortgage Corporation.

So you can get help with selling your current home at only a 1% commission. You can also get a free mortgage rate evaluation.

This raises the question whether a real estate agent can earn both a commission on the sales transact and a fee on the mortgage transaction. The answer is No on HUD FHA loans but most states seem to allow this with full disclosure to the borrower (that you are getting paid on both deals) on non FHA loans.

I received my first debt settlement Advertisementi snap pack in the mail the other day. I have not seen one of these before.

Felt there was some trickery to the piece since the front of the envelope said Credit Card Settlement so I thought this might be a settlement check or some kind of notice related to a class action against my credit card company.

I was also puzzled that the ad had no notice regarding their licensing in California but maybe that is not required to be posted on the ad?

I received the below shown advertisement in the mail the other day and I noticed when I opened it that the glue used made it difficult to open the piece after the side perforated strips were torn off. As can be seen, part of the piece gets ripped and is hard to read. Maybe this is not the best way to proceed with a mailer advertisement? Or maybe consumers don’t care so long as they can read the phone number and call in. I guess it is the latter since I get one of these every few months ….
